Lumecca™ Intense-Pulse-Light Therapy reduces the appearance of age spots, sun damage, rosacea and hyperpigmentation, restoring a clear complexion and rejuvenated skin tone.
Lumecca uses advanced intense pulsed light (IPL) technology to encourage your skin to heal itself during a photofacial. Treatments involve sending IPL energy deep down into your skin’s deepest layers. This forces targeted cells and tissues to break down and eventually, your body pushes out the damaged cells.
At the same time, your system is busy regenerating healthy new skin cells. As all those treated cells start to slough away, fresh, new, even-toned skin rises to the surface.
Lumecca is ideal for treating many of those skin imperfections that make you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious about your skin. You may want to consider Lumecca to improve the appearance of:
Lumecca can also help you if you have chronic redness and inflammation caused by rosacea or similar type of long-term skin condition. You can request Lumecca treatments to improve the appearance of your skin on your face, neck, chest, or hands, to name a few common areas.
It just depends on how your skin responds to Lumecca, although it’s common to start noticing a dramatic improvement in your skin’s appearance within about two weeks, with continuing improvements after that. The team at LH Spa & Rejuvenation generally recommend a series of one to three sessions to help you achieve optimal results and healthier-looking skin.
Even though Lumecca is one of the most powerful IPL systems available, treatments are entirely comfortable. Most men and women explain that it feels like they’re getting a warm facial massage, so they can easily lie back and relax during their photofacial.
You might feel some slight discomfort in areas where you have severe pigmentation issues, but you shouldn’t be in pain. Your dedicated Lumecca specialist at LH Spa & Rejuvenation can let you know what to expect when you come in for your consultation.

Avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning one month prior to treatment.
During treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterward the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel which dissipates after a few days.
An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session. Multiple sessions provide even better results. Treatment regime depends on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings.
Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one use, patients notice significant improvements in the complexion and clarity of the skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment.
In just 1-3 sessions Lumecca improves the appearance of: • Age spots (red/brown pigmentations)
Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. This often includes the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.
Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatments such as spider or leg veins, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.
Most patients do not experience any side effects and any skin reaction usually resolves within a few hours. Patients may find they are sensitive to sunlight immediately after treatment. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight and tanning.
